A Nation Sleeps
Bridgetown DIY, La Puente, CA

Badmouth, Brainfreeze and A Nation Sleeps each mean a whole bunch to me for many different reasons and it is/was a huge bummer that they called it quits. It’s difficult to find the words to describe what each of these bands have done for me. But I can definitely say that four years ago (almost to the date), each of these bands introduced me to a community that I will forever be thankful to be a part of and from there, each of the bands and that community shaped the person/punk/photographer/etc I am now in their own various ways.
Like I said, it’s really hard to convey how much these bands have done for me because they’ve done a lot but I’m very thankful I got to experience them as much as I could and eventually befriend some of the people that play in these bands. Needless to say, this was for sure one of the most memorable shows I’ve been to in a really long time and I continue to be humbled by the Bridgetown community and DIY in general. (Penalty was super sick too and they get better every time I see them).
I realize how silly I’m getting over these bands but I guess that’s just what their music/shows have done for me. N e ways, You can find the full set here dude.
